Enjoy an Authentic German Meal at the Biergarten Haus in DC

Just down the street from the Flats At Atlas, is one of our favorite places to enjoy a beer after a long hard day, the Biergarten Haus in Northeast DC. And we aren’t talking about watered-down light “beer” either, this local watering hole features authentic German food and beer, as you might have guessed by their name.

The bier menu at Biergarten Haus leaves nothing to be desired with authentic offerings on draft including Strong Bier, Weizen Bier, Kristall Weiss Bier, and Non-Alcoholic Bier. But beer isn’t the only alcohol they serve, Biergarten features a full bar too, if for some strange reason, beer isn’t really your thing. Happy hour specials are also served Monday-Friday, from 4-7pm, featuring specials on beer and liquor, as well as the beer sampler, which includes 13 draft beers for $45!

Though you probably won’t be able to pronounce any of the food on the menu, we promise it is worth giving it a try. Biergarten offers an array of appetizers, sausage platters, schnitzel dishes, vegetarian options, traditional entrees and sandwiches. Be sure to save room for dessert, too, with offerings like apple strudel, plum upside-down cake, and homemade traditional “Black Forest Cake” that will make you feel like you are actually dining in Germany! “Biergarten Haus proudly serves breads and pastries made by a master German baker from Heidelberg Bakery.”

Biergarten Haus is located at 1355 H Street Northeast Washington, DC 20002. For more information, you can give them a call at 202-388-4085 or visit their Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube pages.
